TV Pop Idol Gareth Danesh has responded to press speculation that he was involved in a London hotel-room orgy last weekend with footballer David Beckham and his girlfriend Victoria 'Posh' Spicegirl.

But the stuttering superstar hearthrob has revealed that while a steamy threesome did indeed take place, the female participant was not Posh, recording a new solo album on the other side of the world at the time, but Shadow Home Secretary Ann Widdecombe!

With the public eye staring at him in the eye, it is understandable that Gareth is reluctant to talk in great detail about the exciting hours of red-hot action.

'Let's just say it was night that none of us will forget' said the 17-year-old romeo, 'a once in a lifetime experience!'.

But what Gareth fails to mention is that the trio were at it again in another hotel room the following night!

And later on, cartoon skunk Pepé Le Pew arrived on the scene, completing an unlikely cast for an orgy of sex and lovemaking.

Neither Widdecombe, Beckham, Chaka Demus, Pliers, Croft, Rushton or Pepé were available for comment.

Gareth competes in the Pop Idol final this Saturday night, where he goes head to head with 20 stone rival Darius.
