Princess Margaret of Kent has been admitted to a London hospital, after suffering a minor stroke. Doctors say that her condition is not life-threatening, and expect her to be home within a week.

Princess Margaret Margaret: Stroke

It's the third stroke suffered in as many years for the Princess Royal, who has been in ill health for some time.

Concern

But a spokesperson for the Royal Family admitted 'serious concern' about press over-reaction to the Princess's latest heart scare - which in some cases has led to reports that a funeral has already been arranged!

'Any measures taken have been purely precautionary' our spokesperson informed us, 'but may extend to precautionary embalming and internment or cremation as we see fit.'

'However, I must stress that there is nothing to worry about. The doctors have assured me that Margaret is up and about and chatting away. She thanks everyone for the flowers, and will be able to accept visitors personally over the next few days.'
