Welcome to The Databank's collection of all time CCFC records. (Anorak Alert: While to many, this kind of information is fascinating, there are just as many who will find it sadder than Gavin Strachan's hairstyle). Records are divided up into three sections:

For other statistics, check out the stats and facts page, for general info on the club (as opposed to statistics), go to the CCFC Info page, while for pure chronological results, you'd be better off in the results area of the SBS.

Records by Season

Here are Coventry City's all-time league records for the greatest and least number of wins, draws, defeats etc. in a league season. The standard league sizes of 20 clubs (38 games), 22 clubs (42 games) and 24 clubs (46 games) that have been used throughout league history are referred to throughout. City have only spent one season playing in a non-standard sized league - 1987-8 in the old Division One, when 21 clubs played a 40 game season. However, our results for that season were unremarkable, and no record that 'betters' any previous or subsequent 38 or 42 game season was recorded, so for statistical purposes, nothing is lost by ignoring this anomaly.

Where applicable, records which are highlighted are still realistically up for grabs in the current season, or have already been equalled or broken and may yet be bettered.

Consecutive Results and Events

This statistics document CCFC's record runs of results and other feats in both 'league only' and 'all competitions' (i.e. league games, cup ties, replays etc. in chronological order) categories.

NOTE: Defeats via penalty-shootouts in Cup competitions are not counted as losses, but defeats in extra-time are.

Records which are highlighted indicate that City are currently on a run which has equalled or broken, or is close to equalling or breaking the previous record.
